This was a fabulous project to have been a part of creating. This team is wonderful and filled with many talented people. The project concept is the brainchild of Phillip Kanakis and Kathryn Shipley who set the production into full gear once it was decided upon. Kanakis' stellar arrangements and reinventions live up to his reputation and certainly wow listeners.
Overseen by producer Kanakis and co-produced by Shipley, the end product is something we are all quite proud to be a part of. I engineered some of the tracks, as did Quintin Stephenson, Bart Noschese, Nikos Arkomanis, Justine Blazer, and Phillip Kanakis. Blazer brought her mixing and mastering genius to the table, as she always does.

"Stand" made famous by the band Poison, was written by Richie Kotzen, Bobby Dall, Bret Michaels, and Rikki Rockett In this new, reimagined version of the song, Kathryn Shipley takes the leads on vocals while Lee Newton, Nita Perez, Frank Fasano, Dimitris Nezis, and myself, Holly Fischer dance vocally around Shipley's soulful voice, interweaving to create a lovely tapestry of sound to delight listener's ears. The vocal parts, as well as instrument arrangements were conceived within the brilliant producing and arranging mind of Phillip Kanakis.
It is an honor to not only be nominated for any award within the prestigious Josie Music Awards, but to be nominated for a category like Social Impact Song of the Year is beyond anything we'd imagined. And, to make it even sweeter, we couldn't help but notice we are next to another notable chart-topping artist within the same category, Michael W. Smith.
The cover was designed by me, Holly Fischer. Peace out, everyone and "Take a Stand for What YOU Believe!"
